Under the direction of Interim Music Director Carlos Alfaro, this group sings during the 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday and throughout the year on special occasions. This ensemble of adults as well as teenagers is made up of singers who enjoy participating in music leadership here at FUMC. Come join us, it's a great place to sing praises to God; a great place to meet people; you'll always have a seat on Sunday mornings.

Karen Herrera and her family have been a part of FUMC for several years. Karen sang with the Motet Choir and with the McFirst Praise Team throughout their existence. She now leads the Worship Band that leads the 9 am Contemporary Worship on Sunday mornings. Karen is a gifted soprano and loves using her talents for the glory of God. In her "spare" time, she is the mother of four children and is the Director of Fine Arts for the McAllen Independent School District.

The McFirst Praise Team released a recording called "Live!" available in both Compact Disk and Cassette format of 14 of the group's most popular performances. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this music are contributed to the Building Fund to further the construction of our new church. The recording can be purchased locally at Barn White, Cottage Garden Flowers, all Quips and Quotes, and the Church office.

All 5K-5th graders are invited to join in on Wednesday afternoons during WOW for music.
Word On Wednesdays follows the publc school calendar. There is music, Bible study, refresments & playtime. The Preschool Singers meet on Wednesdays from 4-4:30 p.m.
