A support group began in April of 2009 for people who are affected by Parkinson's disease. Every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2 pm in the Koinonia Room (off entry way to the Fellowship Center) Dr. Diener facilitates the group. You don't have to be a member of the church to attend. All are invited!
Grief Support Group
Grief is a powerful and sometimes overwhelming emotion. The reaction to losing a loved one can be as individual as any other human response. First United Methodist Church, McAllen, is offering a free monthly Grief Support Group program to help those who are bereaved understand their grief process, their emotions and how to cope with them.
In a safe and supportive environment, your can talk about your experiences and hear from others in similar circumstances. The group is open to people of all faiths. For more information or to reserve your space in the group, call the church at 686-3784.
